It should use about .4 to .5 of a ball of lily sugar and cream. To save money it might work out better to buy a big cone and make balls. I would eer on too much.

i have an issue...im not sure if it was my doing or not, but i just started row 5. i chained one,and i sc in the next dc (the second one from doing the 3 dc at the end of the 4th row.) i ch 3, but when i go to skip 3 ch, i have one st too many...so the 3 dc i would be sc in would be the first 3. wouldnt i need to be sc in the middle 3? and if i need to, how should i fix this problem?

"turn and ch2, dc into 3rd stitch and ever remaining stitch." what does ever remaining stitch mean? and why would you need to ch 2 when you've just finished ch 20. I think you've left out part of the instructions!

I think the problem most people have when turning is you have to skip the first stitch when you start a new row. For example, when you chain three and start your next row, don't stitch in the first one. Your chain three will take the place of that one. Start in the second available stitch. I have made this mistake in my early days of crocheting. Always make a habit of counting your stiches

Hi-If you us sugar and cream, use size 8 needles and the cloth isn't as "stiff". I've never thought of using anything except cotton for a dishrag--I'll have to try Red Heart and see if I like it.
