I used Sugar N' Cream. One of the small balls and not even half of it. I like cotton, so I used cotton but acrylic does work better for a dishrag.

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for! Do you think this will be big enough to wrap a nice soap in the middle? I want to make them as gifts. I thought I might gather the top and secure it with a ribbon, but it might be too chunky. Any other ideas? Thanks, T
ReplyDeleteA small soap would work. you could tie it with left over yarn. You should be able to get 2 out of one small ball with some left over, mattering on your gauge and how tight/loose you knit.
ReplyDeleteSounds good - thank you. I'm finishing a scarf now, and then I'll start this project, ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is cool, I think I found you on a search on Ravelry.
ReplyDeleteThis is nice. What size knitting needles did you use to make it?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad this is here! I *just* taught myself to purl (the 4th attempt's the charm I guess lol) and I was looking for something simple to practice that wasn't just a straight line of purling!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
