As Promised!

Ok, I finally got my little 2 year old to distracted long enough to not only take pictures of my swift but to download them. They yarn is a lace weight merino wool that I hand dyed (760 yards of it too) from a recycled sweater. I am going to sell it, or at least try if I can ever get a pic that actually shows how pretty it really is (the pic does NOT do it justice! but I tried!)

Ruth: Thanks the color is almost right in that pic, but I still need to get a pic that picks up the tonal subtleties. The swift goes out to 2 yards around.

Jodie: It is almost electric. Very bright to say the least.

Aunt Kathy: A swift is used to either make skeins or to break them down and ball them. Also very helpful if you are going to be dyeing a lot.

That is some swift! How wide does it extend?

so that's a swift, huh? Still not sure exactly how you use it, but it looks so interesting. I think that color looks great too, I hope to learn to dye yarn someday too.
